Maggie Southard Gladstone, Director of Publicity and Strategy, Fiction and Special Projects
Since joining Simon & Schuster in January 2020, Maggie has led campaigns for numerous bestsellers and book club selections including White Ivy by Susie Yang, Properties of Thirst by Marianne Wiggins, and The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave, which spent sixty-five weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. She most recently oversaw the campaign for the New York Times bestselling novel Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall. Additionally, she has worked on a number of celebrity books such as The Answer is…by Alex Trebek, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee by Jerry Seinfeld, and Just Add Water by Katie Ledecky.
She was previously at Hachette Book Group with Little, Brown and Company where she worked with authors such as Pete Souza, Andrew Sean Greer, Luis Alberto Urrea, Jake Tapper, and Tom Wolfe. Prior to her time at Little, Brown and Company, Maggie has held positions at Alfred A. Knopf and ICM Partners. She is a graduate of Connecticut College and the NYU Publishing Program.
