Hannah Brattesani, Backlist Manager

As Backlist Manager, Hannah works closely with Simon & Schuster’s editorial and marketing teams to oversee the strategic development of the imprint’s diverse library of backlist titles. She is also acquiring a range of nonfiction and fiction, focusing on overlooked or formerly out-of-print works.

She joins Simon & Schuster from The Friedrich Agency, where she was a literary agent and the Director of International Rights, working with authors such as Jane Smiley, Ruth Ozeki, Alison Espach, and the estate of Frank McCourt. Prior to Friedrich, Hannah led the foreign rights team at Folio Literary Management, and began her career at Emma Sweeney Agency.

A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Hannah is an alumna of the University of St Andrews where she graduated with the Douglas Dunn award for creative writing.
